Located in Port Vell, the harbour area in the district of Barceloneta in Barcelona, La Mar Salada opened in 1993 thanks to the hard work and vision of our grandparents Ramon and Rossita, who had spent most of their lives working at Can Ros , the other restaurant they run in the neighbourhood which will be celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2011. To mark the 15th anniversary of La Mar Salada, the fifth generation of the family has transformed the restaurant to give it a fresher, more up-to-date style. The restaurant has two dining areas. The ground floor is more informal whilst the first floor, a comfortable venue with space for 100 diners, offers privileged views across the port. A private room is also available for groups of 12 for family parties and corporate meetings. The room offers free Wi-Fi and a magnificent terrace open all year. La Mar Salada is a no-smoking establishment. |
